Companies engaged in the production of building materials in Azerbaijan produced 139.9 million manat worth of goods between January-May 2013, which is 25.7 percent more than in the same period of 2012, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee said today.
According to the report, the companies produced 779,700 tons of cement (increased by 17.6 percent), 83,400 tons of construction gypsum (an increase of 2.1 times), 527,000 tons of finished concrete (an increase of 11 percent) in January-May 2013.
As of June 1, 2013, the stocks of finished construction products worth 16.2 million manat were prepared in the warehouses of enterprises or 5.7 percent of all end products in the warehouses of the country.
