Uzbek bank of rural construction (Qishloq Qurilish Bank), which is one of the country’s biggest banks, increased its assets calculated according to national accounting standards by 14.6 percent in January-June 2016 compared to 2015, bringing them to 4.86 trillion soums ($1=2964.03 on Aug.1), the bank told Trend Aug. 1.
The bank’s credit investment increased by 17 percent – up to 4.258 trillion soums during the reporting period, some 78.3 percent (3.332 trillion soums) of which was directed to preferential mortgage loans.
The aggregate bank capital increased by 7.1 percent in 1H 2016 and amounted to 462.4 billion soums.
Qishloq Qurilish Bank was established in March 2009 by a decree of the Uzbek president. Its main shareholders are the Uzbek Finance Ministry (58.1 percent) and the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan (23.7 percent).
