The volume of cargo turnover in Kazakhstan amounted to 392.8 billion ton-kilometers during January-August 2019, which is 1.7 percent more compared to the same period of last year, Trend reports with reference to the data of Statistics Committee of Kazakhstan.
In turn, the volume of passenger turnover amounted to 193.9 billion passenger kilometers and has increased by 4.8 percent.
Furthermore, the value of retail trade during the reporting period amounted to 7.042 trillion tenge or 105.5 percent to the value of the corresponding period of last year.
The value of wholesale trade during the reporting period equaled 15.186 trillion tenge, which is 108.5 percent to the corresponding period of last year.
Foreign trade turnover of Kazakhstan during January-July 2019 equaled $53.829 billion, which is 1.7 percent more than during the same period of last year. This sum includes export worth $32.943 billion (decrease of 3.7 percent) and import worth $20.885 billion (increase of 11.7 percent).
