Azerbaijan State Agrarian University and the US Oklahoma State University have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of agriculture within the joint agriculture forum in Oklahoma City, Executive Director of the US-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce (USACC) Natig Bakhishov said.
Bakhishov made the remark at the online conference organized by the US Department of Commerce, Trend reports on August 3 referring to the chamber.
According to the director, the sides expressed their intention to discuss further development of the joint academic programs and student exchange programs.
He also touched upon the measures taken to expand cultural and educational ties between the two countries, stressing the contribution of USACC to the development of bilateral trade of the countries via holding annual forums and conferences and organizing trade missions, online meetings for the member companies and events to assess both markets.
Bakhishov also informed about two agricultural forums organized by the chamber in Illinois and Oklahoma last year, and visit of Azerbaijani trade mission to these states.
The forums were organized on the basis of a framework document signed by the chamber and the US Agency for International Development (USAID) in April 2019.
