BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 9. AzerGold CJSC, which celebrated its eighth anniversary this year, has produced 441,326 oz. of gold and 919,244 oz. of silver in the past period, Trend reports.
Out of the mentioned volume, 437,730 oz of gold and 889,709 oz of silver were sold in the local and international markets.
"The sales brought in more than 1.2 billion manats for Azerbaijan's economy," the information noted.
The data also indicates that the self-sufficient CJSC has paid almost 153.8 million manat ($90.4 million) in taxes to the state over 8 years.
"AzerGold is confidently moving towards becoming a mining company with an annual turnover of 1 billion manat ($588 million). Since the first years CJSC has been working with profit, financing gold mining projects, contributing to the economic development of the country," the information says.
