Fuel oil consumption in Iran falls by 32%

Fuel oil consumption in Iran fell by 32 percent in the first two months of the current Iranian fiscal year (March 21-May 21), compared to the same period last year.

Some 1.593 billion liters of fuel oil were consumed in the country during the 62 first days of the current Iranian fiscal year, Iran's Shana news agency reported on May 31.

The average daily consumption of fuel oil hit 25.7 million liters.

Moreover, 260.4 million liters of kerosene were consumed during the two-month period, showing 17.6 percent fall year on year.

Also, 336,784 tons of LPG was consumed in the mentioned period of time, a 1.3 percent fall year on year.
