Ukraine’s ‘Printing Plant’, a state enterprise producing securities, concluded three contracts with ‘SOCAR Ukraine Trading House’ LLC, affiliate of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) for the supply of consumables worth 17 million manat ($10 million), Trend reports citing the Ukrainian media.
According to the terms of the contracts, by the end of 2022 it’s planned to supply two million pieces of hot-stamped protective elements for manufacturing protected products for 2.33 manat per piece ($1.37) and 120,000 sheets of consumables for the preparation of forms of documents: 60,000 – for 150,416 manat ($88,480), and 60,000 - for 139,500 manat ($82,060) per piece.
Other details in the reports on the conclusion of contracts haven’t been disclosed.
On June 2021, the trading house began receiving orders from the printing plant for the supply of consumables. Since the same month, the plant has concluded contracts with the trading house for a total of 29.5 million manat ($17.3 million).
The printing plant is an enterprise subordinated to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine.
Representative Office of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) was opened in Ukraine in 2008. In 2009, the company acquired nearly 20 filling stations of ‘Tala-Nafta’ company in Odessa and Nikolayev regions, as well as a large ‘Svitanok’ oil depot in Odessa region. In 2010–2011, it took control of ONIO gas stations (four gas stations in Kiev and the region) and GFC (Lviv region).
In August 2012, SOCAR received a permit from the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine for the purchase of 26 filling stations and one oil depot of the Kalina Group. The network operates 63 filling stations in Ukraine, including two oil tanker bunkers: ‘Baku-1’ in Kiev and ‘Ganja’ - in Odessa.
In May of this year, SOCAR became the export operator of Rosneft's oil products in Ukraine, replacing Proton Energy Group S.A. In parallel, Socar New Energy Ltd (Cyprus) company acquired 100 percent of Glusco Energy S.A., which owns the business of the Ukrainian network of gas stations of Glusco company.
