BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 21. Azerbaijan's revenues from the activity of main oil pipelines, including Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan, amounted to 538.2 million manat ($316.5 million) in the first half of 2024, which is 0.5 percent more than the figure for the same period last year, Trend reports.
According to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, the losses in the network of main oil pipelines in the first half of 2024 amounted to 2,200 tons, which is 29.4 percent more.
In general, 19.238 million tons of oil was transported via main oil pipelines in the first half of 2024, which is 2.1 percent less compared to the same period last year. At the same time, the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline accounted for 75.2 percent of the total volume of pumping.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan's revenues from main oil pipelines amounted to 1.1 billion manat ($647 million) in 2023, which is 11.1 percent less compared to 2022. The network losses for the same period amounted to 3,800 tons, up 31 percent.
