BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 17. Azerbaijan transported over 6.4 million tons of oil through its main oil pipelines from January through February 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistics Committee indicates
that a substantial 73.2 percent of the transportation operations
were executed via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline,
facilitating the transit of roughly 4.4 million tons of crude oil
within the specified timeframe.
The BTC conduit facilitated the transportation of 83.9 percent of
hydrocarbons sourced from Azerbaijan, totaling 3.7 million tons,
whereas the residual 16.1 percent, equating to approximately
711,500 tons, was derived from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
