BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 17. A staggering 15.4 million tons of oil made its way through Azerbaijan's main oil pipelines, proving that the wheels of industry keep turning. from January through May 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Committee indicates that of the total volume, 75.5 percent was transported via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil export pipeline.
Furthermore, a substantial volume of 11.6 million tons of crude
oil was transited via the BTC pipeline during the period spanning
from January to May 2025.
Throughout the designated reporting interval, a substantial 83.4
percent of the hydrocarbon throughput via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan
pipeline—translating to 9.7 million metric tons—was sourced from
the Azerbaijani region, whereas the residual 16.6 percent,
amounting to 1.9 million metric tons, was derived from Turkmenistan
and Kazakhstan.
