Inflation was 34.8 percent in Iran in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020), Trend reports citing the Statistical Center of Iran.
In accordance with the report, families spent an average of 35.8 percent more on some products and services.
“Inflation was 34.4 percent in cities and 37.3 percent in rural areas,” the report said.
According to the report, inflation was 42.6 percent in food, beverages and tobacco products sectors, and was 31.4 percent in non-food and services sectors in Iran.
