BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 2. Foreigners spent 203.6 million manat ($119.7 million) in Azerbaijan using credit cards in June 2022, which was 4.21 times or 155.3 million manat ($91.35 million) more than in the same month of 2021, Trend reports citing the country's Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.
Foreign bank card transactions made in Azerbaijan amounted to 1.1 billion manat ($647.08 million) from January through June 2022.
In May 2022, foreign citizens' expenses through credit cards totaled 184.1 million manat ($108.29 million) in Azerbaijan, up by 5.64 times or 151.5 million manat ($89.1 million) against the same month last year.
