In January-September 2018, the market share of the Android operating system (OS) in Azerbaijan increased by 11 percent, Global Stats reported Oct. 13.
Android is the most popular operating system in Azerbaijan, which as of Oct. 1, 2018, ranks first in the country's OS market with a share of almost 52.8 percent, which is 5.4 percent more than in January-September last year.
According to Global Stats, in the first nine months of 2018, the market share of Microsoft Windows OS in Azerbaijan decreased 11.1 percent. Microsoft products rank second in the OS market with a share of 32.4 percent. Compared to the end of September 2017, the share of Windows OS in the Azerbaijani market decreased by 3.3 percent.
The third position is taken by the iOS operating system with a market share of 7.6 percent. The market share of this operating system in January-September 2018 increased 4.2 percent, and compared to the same period last year decreased by almost 15 percent.
These OS are followed by OS X (2.94 percent), the less known OS (2.13 percent), Series 40 (0.53 percent), etc.
