Foreign citizens spent 302.7 million manat ($178.05 million) through bank cards in Azerbaijan in the period from January through July 2020.
This figure is 58.2 percent less than in the period from January through July 2019.
This is stated in the Export Review of Azerbaijani Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications, Trend reports on Monday.
According to the report, in July 2020, foreign citizens spent 23 million manat ($13.5 million) through bank cards in Azerbaijan, which is 2.9 percent less than in June 2020 and 5.8 times less than in July 2019.
During 2019, foreign citizens with the help of bank cards spent 1.2 billion manat ($705.8 million) in Azerbaijan, which is 1.8 percent less than in 2018.
During 2018, foreign citizens spent in Azerbaijan 1.27 billion manat ($747.05 million) by bank cards.
