BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 10. The projects of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population and its structures are of great interest to other countries, Chairman of the Board of the State Employment Agency under the ministry Mustafa Abbasbayli told Trend.
According to Abbasbayli, the expansion of international cooperation is one of the priorities of the agency.
"At specialized meetings with international organizations, we actively exchange experience on our digital projects with colleagues from other countries,” he said. “Besides, our colleagues from abroad are closely following the development of a new Azerbaijani model for providing public services - DOST [Sustainable and Operational Social Security], and some countries are even interested in implementing a similar system."
The official also said that the agency established close cooperation with such countries as Türkiye, Finland, Germany, the UK, and South Korea.
"We often send employees of our agency to these countries to exchange experience, and also receive their delegations in Baku. Moreover, we work closely with such institutions as the World Bank, the International Labor Organization, the International Association of Labor Inspection and have joint projects" , Abbasbayli noted.
He stressed that such cooperation allows the agency to use new approaches in training specialists in Azerbaijan, conducting trainings and seminars in a new format.
"Over the past few years, our ministry and its structures have received dozens of awards. Our projects for the digitalization of labor relations have also won world awards, and there is a special interest in these projects abroad. Our ministry is one of the most innovative in the implementation of projects," added the agency’s head.
