Uzbekistan has granted a visa-free regime to another 20 countries, Trend reports via Uzbek media.
"The visa-free regime will enter into force on January 1, 2020. It will apply to citizens of Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Belize, Grenada, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica, Cuba, Nicaragua, Panama, Trinidad and Tobago, El Salvador, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Saint Lucia, the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, the Commonwealth of Dominica, the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis and Jamaica,” Uzbek Deputy Prime Minister Aziz Abduhakimov said at a press conference in Tashkent.
To date, Uzbekistan has granted visa-free status to 65 countries of the world, and this is the second indicator in terms of liberality to the visa regime in the world after Georgia.
Also, citizens of 77 countries have the opportunity to come to Uzbekistan on an electronic visa. Today, the cost of a seven-day visa to Uzbekistan is $40, and a 15-day visa is $50.
A visa-free regime is valid for 30 days from the date of entry into the country. Before the end of the 30-day visa-free stay, a foreign citizen must leave Uzbekistan.
Exceeding the 30-day visa-free stay is a violation of the rules and entails administrative liability.
