Some 173 units of tractors were produced in Uzbekistan in 1H2021, which is 72.5 percent lower compared to the corresponding period last year, Trend reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
Meanwhile, 630 tractors were manufactured in 1H2020, and 602 - in 1H2019.
Also, in the reporting period 383 cultivators were produced in the country.
The production of car engines in Uzbekistan from January through May 2021 increased by 39.1 percent compared to the same period in 2020.
Some 57,400 car engines were produced by Uzbek manufactures during the reporting period.
The automotive industry holds one of the leading places in the economy of Uzbekistan. A significant number of the country's population is employed in this industry.
