ASTANA, Kazakhstan, May 29. Kazakhstan and the Republic of Congo discussed potential cooperation in the field of transport and logistics, particularly regarding the International Transport Corridor "North-South." Following the discussions, a Memorandum of Understanding in the transport and logistics sector was signed, Trend reports.
Minister of Transport Marat Karabayev met with the Minister and Special Representative of the President of Congo for Strategic Issues and International Negotiations, Françoise Joly.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the potential shipment of cargo via the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route and the "North-South" corridor.
The sides also considered the possibility of organizing a working visit of a Kazakh delegation to conduct a detailed study of the Congolese market, familiarize themselves with the transport infrastructure, and visit the port of Pointe-Noire.
Following the negotiations, a Memorandum of Understanding in the transport and logistics sector was signed between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Congo.
