ASTANA, Kazakhstan, October 23. Kazakhstan produced 477,200 tons of petrochemical products from January through September 2025, Trend reports via the information portal of Kazakh government.
The figure represents a 15.8 percent increase compared to the same period in 2024, when production totaled 412,200 tons. By the end of this year, total output is expected to reach 590,000 tons.
According to information, Kazakhstan’s petrochemical production reached 540,000 tons in 2024 — up by 150.5 percent compared to 2023. A key milestone for the sector was the signing of the country’s first investment agreement for the construction of a methanol plant.
In addition, a 2024–2030 Roadmap for the Development of the Petrochemical Industry has been approved, and a new Law “On the Petrochemical Industry” is currently being drafted, with adoption planned for 2026.
