Volume of passenger transportation in Kyrgyzstan's international airport increases

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 19. Over 2.5 million passengers were served in the Manas International Airport in Kyrgyzstan from January through June 2023, Trend reports.

The report, citing the airport, highlights a 12.6 percent increase in passenger transportation compared to the same period last year.

Some 1.8 million passengers were transported by international flights accounted, while in domestic flights 714,900 passengers were registered.

Furthermore, a total of 19,500 flights were operated in Manas airport from January through June 2023, which is an increase of 2.5 percent compared to the same period of 2022. Of these, 13,800 flights were international routes, while 5,700 flights were domestic routes.

Meanwhile, passenger transportation in Kyrgyzstan by all means of transport amounted to 246 million from January through June 2023, which is 8.4 percent higher than in the corresponding months of 2023.

Cargo transportation in the country for the period reached 22,285 millions tons, increasing 14.5 percent year-on-year.
