BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, November 14. Kyrgyzstan's "Manas International Airport" company, which serves as the operator for all airports in Kyrgyzstan, handled 4.2 million passengers from January through September 2023, Trend reports.
According to the company's data, compared to the nine-month figure of the previous year (3.8 million passengers), the current passenger traffic in Kyrgyzstan's airports has increased by 10 percent.
Domestic flights accommodated 1.2 million passengers, while 3 million passengers used international flights during this period. A total of 32,190 flights were conducted, comprising 22,515 international and 9,675 domestic flights.
"Manas International Airport" company encompasses 11 airports in Kyrgyzstan: 5 international and 6 regional. The international airports are "Manas," "Osh," "Issyk-Kul," "Karakol," and "Batken," while the rest serve as regional airports for domestic air routes: "Jalal-Abad," "Isfana," "Karavan," "Kazarman," "Naryn," and "Talas" airports.
In 2022,"Manas International Airport" achieved a record number of flights, exceeding 41,000, and serviced over 5 million passengers.
