BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 14. CEVA Logistics is collaborating with partners to establish a consolidation hub near the Kyrgyzstan border, Kelvin Tang, VP of Ground & Rail, Greater China, and Global Cross Border & Multimodal Leader at CEVA Logistics, told Trend.
He went on to say that CEVA Logistics has formed strategic alliances with two top Silk Road railway operators, which is a significant step toward the ongoing growth of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway and multimodal (rail + TIR trucks) import and export sectors.
“We have entered strategic hub cooperation agreements with Xian Railway and Guangwu Railway in Uzbekistan as part of our continued efforts. In addition, we are actively working with our partners to develop a consolidation hub near the Kyrgyzstan border. This effort seeks to improve our TIR network and maximize truck utilization, with an emphasis on achieving efficient round-trip volumes. These collaborative efforts demonstrate our commitment to developing solid partnerships and leveraging local expertise to ensure the success of our logistics activities in the region,” he said.
According to Kelvin Tang, CEVA Logistics is actively engaged in robust collaboration with local authorities and partners to ensure the success of the new logistics initiative. The established infrastructure includes a well-equipped hub in China's Kashgar and an overseas hub in Uzbekistan, supporting seamless door-to-door services, including distribution within Uzbekistan.
