BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, July 23. A total of 22.651 million liters of beer were produced in Kyrgyzstan from January through June 2024, which is 23.1 percent more than in the same period of 2023 (18.394 million liters), Trend reports.
Data from Kyrgyzstan’s Statistical Committee indicates that production in June decreased by 18.4 percent, from 7.446 million liters last June to 6.091 million liters this year.
At the same time, 119.9 million liters of non-alcoholic beverages were produced in the country during the period under review, which is 23.1 percent more than the 97.4 million liters in the first half of 2023. In June, 24 million liters of non-alcoholic beverages were produced, an increase of 7.3 percent compared to 22.3 million liters in June 2023.
The value of production in Kyrgyzstan's manufacturing sector reached 176.273 billion soms ($2.082 billion) from January through June 2024, which is a 7.5 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023. The volume of production during the first half of 2024 grew by 0.1 percent compared to the same period in 2023.
The value of Kyrgyzstan's industrial production rose to 237.456 billion soms ($2.805 billion) from January through June 2024, a 10 percent increase compared to the same period last year. The physical volume of production grew by 1 percent over January–June 2023.
