BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, July 23. The volume of refined petroleum production in Kyrgyzstan grew 1.5 times year-on-year in the first half of 2024, Trend reports.
According to the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, this increase is primarily due to a significant rise in the production of gasoline (up 3.8 times), fuel oil (up 37.8 percent), and diesel fuel (up 25.9 percent).
The value of refined petroleum production during the reporting period totaled 4.89 billion soms ($57.772 million), accounting for 2.8 percent of the production in Kyrgyzstan's manufacturing sector.
Production value in Kyrgyzstan's manufacturing sector reached 176.273 billion soms ($2.082 billion) from January through June 2024, which is a 7.5-percent increase compared to the same period in 2023. The volume of production during the first half of 2024 grew by 0.1 percent compared to the same period in 2023.
The value of Kyrgyzstan's industrial production rose to 237.456 billion soms ($2.805 billion) from January through June 2024, a 10-percent increase compared to the same period last year. The physical volume of production grew by 1 percent over January-June 2023
