BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, March 8. The volume of food production in Kyrgyzstan increased by 1.8 times in January 2025 compared to January 2024.
Data obtained by Trend from the country's State Statistical Committee shows that beverage production grew by 21.9 percent.
The production figures for key products in the country:
Fresh or chilled beef, pork, sheep, goat, and horse meat, and edible offal: 1,169 tons
Unrefined vegetable oils and fats: 506 tons
Flour from cereals and other plant products, including enriched flour: 20,171 tons
Fresh bread: 7,144 tons
Liquid processed milk: 4,621 tons
Distilled alcoholic beverages: 3.122 million liters
In total, the value of manufacturing production in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 30.9 billion soms ($353.8 million) in January 2025, which is a 6.7 percent more compared to the same period in 2024. The volume of production grew by 9.6 percent.
Of this, 55.7 percent was contributed by the production of basic metals and fabricated metal products, excluding machinery and equipment; 25.9 percent came from food products (including beverages) and tobacco products; 7.4 percent from rubber and plastic products, as well as other non-metallic mineral products; 5.2 percent from textile production, clothing and footwear manufacturing, leather, and other leather goods; and 1.5 percent from refined petroleum products.
