DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, December 1. Trade turnover between Georgia and Tajikistan amounted to $27.895 million from January through October 2024, which is a decrease of 13.7 percent compared to the same period in 2023 ($32.126 million), Trend reports.

According to the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat), Georgia's exports to Tajikistan totaled $27.559 million during the reported months, which is a 13.4 percent decline from $31.857 million recorded in January–October 2023.

Specifically, Georgian reexports to Tajikistan amounted to $23.381 million in the reporting period, declining by 15 percent compared to January-October 2023 ($27.553 million).

This year, Georgia imported products from Tajikistan in the following months: January, February, March, May, and October. The total import value amounted to $336,110, which is 25 percent higher than at the end of October 2023 ($268,630).

To note, trade turnover between the countries amounted to $37.281 million in 2023, which is a 62 percent increase compared to $22.923 million in 2022. Exports to Tajikistan reached $37.012 million, while imports amounted to $268,630.
