DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, September 7. Tajikistan harvested 63,486 tons of grapes in the first seven months of 2025, marking a 1.9-fold increase compared to the same period last year.
Data obtained by Trend from the country’s Statistical Agency shows that the largest share of the harvest came from Khatlon region with 43,432 tons, followed by the regions of republican subordination (RRS) with 15,136 tons and Sughd region with 4,918 tons. Gorno-Badakhshan autonomous region reported no grape production.
Tajikistan’s overall agricultural output continued to grow. Gross agricultural production reached 32.26 billion somoni ($3.4 billion) from January through July 2025, a 5 percent increase compared to the same period in 2024. Crop production accounted for 21.23 billion somoni ($2.24 billion), up by 1.9 percent, while livestock output totaled 11.03 billion somoni ($1.16 billion), reflecting an 11.4 percent rise year-on-year.
Over the reporting period, household farms contributed 46.8 percent of the total output, dehkan (peasant) farms accounted for 38.8 percent, and public farms made up 14.4 percent.
