TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, August 27. Uzbekistan exported 15,500 tons of grapes for a total of $18.3 million from January through July 2024, Trend reports.
The data from Uzbekistan’s Statistics Agency shows that the recorded volume shows a 94.1 percent decline compared to the same period last year (30,100 tons in January–July 2024).
At the same time, the volume of grape exports increased to 9,500 tons in July 2024, compared to 400 tons in June 2024.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan exported 1.2 million tons of fruit and vegetables worth $792.3 million from January through July 2024. This figure has increased by 9 percent compared to the same period last year (1.1 million tons in January–July 2023).
Russia accounted for the largest volume of horticultural product exports from Uzbekistan, with a total volume of 468,300 tons worth $343.9 million. Pakistan ranked second with 94,700 tons of exports worth $121.4 million, followed by Kazakhstan with 378,700 tons of horticultural products exported worth $121.4 million from January through July 2024.
