Iran’s Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ) has exported $14 billion worth of non-oil goods cumulatively.
PSEEZ CEO Mehdi Yusefi said that in the last fiscal year (which ended March 21) the zone exported 34.2 million tons of goods worth $14.9 billion, IRIB news agency reported May 3.
He noted that the year’s export showed a 41 percent increase in weight and 22 percent increase in price.
He added that during that year 17.5 million tons of gas condensates worth $7.01 billion were exported, showing 59 percent rise in weight at 43 percent rise in price (Iran lists gas condensates as nonoil commodities).
Diethylene glycol, urea, butane, propane, p-Xylene, ethylene glycol mono and teri, light and heavy polyethylene, gas condensates, cement, and methanol comprise PSEEZ’s major exported goods and they are exported to 29 countries.
