BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 19. Türkiye's Ceyhan port received 16.6 million tons of cargo from January through November 2024, the statement of Türkiye's Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure said, Trend reports.

According to the ministry, 311,503 tons of cargo were transported from Ceyhan port under the flag of Türkiye, and 16.34 million tons were transported by vessels under the flags of other countries.

A total of 25.5 million tons of transit cargo were transshipped through the port of Ceyhan from January through November 2024.

Meanwhile, in November 2024, Türkiye's ports handled 32.4 million tons of cargo. During this period, Turkish-flagged vessels' cargo traffic to domestic ports amounted to 2.4 million tons.

Cargo traffic of vessels under the flags of other countries to Turkish ports amounted to 30.3 million tons.

Moreover, about 5.9 million tons of transit cargo were transported from the ports of Türkiye in November 2024.

The data of the ministry indicates that the ports of Türkiye received 363.8 million tons of cargo from January through November 2024.

The reception of cargo by Turkish-flagged vessels amounted to 27.4 million tons. And by vessels under the flags of other countries, cargo transportation to the ports of Türkiye amounted to 336.2 million tons.

Moreover, about 63.5 million tons of transit cargo were transported from the ports of Türkiye from January through November 2024.

To note, the ports of Türkiye received 4,373 vessels in November this year.

During this period, the number of vessels accepted in the ports of Türkiye under the flags of other countries amounted to 2,966, and the number of vessels accepted under the flag of Türkiye totaled 1,407.

The ports of Türkiye received 56,086 vessels from January through November 2024.

However, during this time, the number of ships under the flags of other countries admitted to Turkish ports amounted to 36,550, and ships under the Turkish flag to 19,536.
