BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 5. The total value of non-oil products exported from Azerbaijan to Ukraine amounted to $21.8 million in January 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Customs Committee indicates that this figure marks an increase of $15.5 million compared to the same period in 2024, reflecting a 3.4-fold increase.
During this period, non-oil product exports to Ukraine accounted for 8.88 percent of Azerbaijan’s total exports. As a result, Ukraine has moved up to fifth place among the countries to which Azerbaijan exports the most non-oil products.
Furthermore, the total trade volume between Azerbaijan and Ukraine in January reached $44.4 million, showing a growth of $9.8 million, or 28.2 percent, compared to January 2024.
Additionally, Azerbaijan exported $22.8 million worth of goods to Ukraine during the reporting period, marking an increase of $15.9 million, or more than three times the amount from January of the previous year.
On the other hand, imports from Ukraine to Azerbaijan decreased by $6.1 million, or 22 percent, totaling $21.7 million in January.
Azerbaijan’s total foreign trade turnover in January reached $5.9 billion, representing a 70.5 percent increase, or $2.1 billion, compared to the same period last year. Of this, $3.4 billion accounted for exports, while $2.5 billion was for imports. These figures also show significant annual growth of 64.8 percent in exports and 79.7 percent in imports.
The reporting period closed with a positive trade balance of $986 million, an increase of 40.7 percent compared to the same period last year, which amounts to an additional $285 million.
