BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 28. Azerbaijan invested $28.4 million in the Danish economy in 2024.
Data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan indicates
that this denotes a surge of $24.5 million, equating to a 7.3-fold
escalation relative to the fiscal year 2023.
The proportion of Azerbaijani capital allocations in Denmark
constituted 1.6 percent of the aggregate quantum of foreign direct
investment flows.
It is noteworthy that the capital influx from Azerbaijan to Denmark
reached a total of $3.9 million in the fiscal year 2023.
In the fiscal year 2024, the influx of foreign direct investments
into the Azerbaijani economic landscape surpassed the $7 billion
threshold, reflecting a notable uptick of $388.1 million, equating
to a growth rate of 5.83 percent relative to the preceding year,
2023.
Concurrently, the aggregate quantum of outbound foreign direct
investments emanating from Azerbaijan to international markets
totaled $1.8 billion in the fiscal year under review, reflecting a
contraction of $1.4 billion, or 43.3 percent, relative to the
corresponding timeframe in 2023.
