BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 15. Aluminium product
manufacturing in Azerbaijan showed a modest increase, reaching
9,024 tons from January through March 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistics Committee indicates
that production rose by 5.8 percent, with an increase of 856 tons
compared to the same period in 2024.
Moreover, the volume of aluminium products in finished inventory
stood at 3,300 tons as of April 1, 2025.
Meanwhile, the country’s broader metallurgy sector recorded
mixed results from January through February 2025. The value of
production in the metallurgy and fabricated metal products
industries totaled 285.6 million manat ($168 million). However,
there was an 8 percent decline in metallurgical output and a
sharper drop of 18.1 percent in the manufacture of finished metal
goods compared to the same period last year.
Сopper wire production within the metallurgy sector decreased by
90.3 percent, steel casting fell by 11.5 percent, and production of
various metal-based items declined by 40.3 percent.
