BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 20. Azerbaijan exported 18,100 tons of aluminum and its derivatives worth $53 million from January through March of this year.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Customs Committee reflects the value's increase by $4.9 million (10.2 percent) with a parallel decrease in the volume by 125 tons (0.7 percent) compared to the same months in 2024.
During the reporting period, the export of aluminum and its derivatives accounted for 0.83 percent of the country’s total exports and 6.87 percent of exports from the non-oil sector.
Additionally, in the January-March period of 2025, Azerbaijan imported aluminum and its derivatives worth $48 million, marking a year-on-year increase of $15.5 million (47.8 percent).
Additionally, from January through March 2025, the import of aluminum and products made from it accounted for 0.85 percent of the country’s total imports.
