ASTANA, Kazakhstan, May 17. KazMunayGas successfully increased its refining and production of light petroleum products in the first quarter of 2025, Trend reports.
According to the information of the company, the volume of oil refining at Kazakhstan's refineries rose by 2.8 percent and reached 3.7 million tons. This growth is attributed to uninterrupted operations at all refineries during the first quarter of this year.
“During this period, domestic refineries produced 3.4 million tons of petroleum products, which is 2.7 percent higher than in the first quarter of 2024,” KazMunayGas said in a statement.
A key achievement was a significant increase in the production of light petroleum products: gasoline output rose by 21 percent to over 1.3 million tons, while diesel fuel production increased by 7.4 percent to 1.1 million tons (KazMunayGas’s share).
