BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 15. The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) projects that oil and liquid fuels production in Europe will reach 3.96 million barrels per day (mb/d) by 2026, Trend reports.
For 2026, quarterly output is forecast at 4.06 mb/d in the first quarter, 3.95 mb/d in the second, 3.86 mb/d in the third, and 3.98 mb/d in the final quarter.
In 2025, regional production is expected to average 3.95 mb/d, with quarterly figures of 3.88 mb/d in Q1, 3.86 mb/d in Q2, 3.96 mb/d in Q3, and 4.11 mb/d in Q4.
Norway, Europe’s top producer, is expected to post steady gains, with output rising from an estimated 2.08 mb/d in 2025 to 2.12 mb/d in 2026.
The UK, meanwhile, is projected to see a slight decline, with production falling from 0.76 mb/d in 2025 to 0.73 mb/d in 2026.
