TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, July 3. Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Transport and KPMG are exploring the digital transformation of the country’s transport sector through the implementation of the SAP business management platform, Trend reports via the Ministry of Transport.
A meeting was held between Deputy Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan Ilkhomjon Abdugafarov and representatives of KPMG, one of the world’s leading consulting and audit firms, the Ministry’s press service reported.
During the discussion, KPMG presented proposals to improve the efficiency of Uzbekistan’s automobile and railway transport systems by adopting modern digital tools. A central focus was on implementing the SAP platform – an enterprise-level system for managing resources, automating processes, and enhancing data analytics and decision-making.
The platform’s integration, representatives noted, would help minimize human error, speed up operations, and ensure greater transparency in reporting across the sector.
Both sides discussed potential areas for piloting SAP, including rail freight and road infrastructure, and considered broader collaboration mechanisms under Uzbekistan’s ongoing transport digitalization strategy.
