BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 27. Azerbaijan imported 30,700 tons of rice from January through June 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from the State Customs Committee shows that the total value of imports in this volume amounted to $29 million.
Compared to the same period last year, imports fell by 8,500 tons (21.7 percent) in volume and $12.1 million (29.4 percent) in value.
In the first half of 2024, the country had imported 39,200 tons of rice worth $41.1 million.
Rice made up 0.25 percent of total imports during the first six months of this year.
