Georgia exported 92,480 metric tons of live cattle worth $57.26 million to Azerbaijan in January-December 2014, the Georgian National Statistics Service's report as of 2014 says.
The share of this category in the total volume of Georgia's exports to Azerbaijan hit 10.5 percent during the reporting period.
The volume of cattle exports from Georgia to Azerbaijan increased by 41.4 percent or by 28,000 metric tons (43.4 percent) in January-December 2014 compared to the same period of 2013.
For comparison, some 64,470 metric tons of live cattle worth $40.49 million were exported from Georgia to Azerbaijan in 2013.
Around 19 percent of Georgia's exports accounted for Azerbaijan in January-December 2014.
Georgia exported $544.4 million worth of goods to Azerbaijan during this period. The export to Azerbaijan decreased by 23.3 percent compared to the same period of 2013.
For comparison, $709.9 million worth of Georgian goods were exported to Azerbaijan in January-December 2013.
Azerbaijan ranks first among the countries to which Georgia exports its products, followed by Armenia ($288.24 million), Russia ($274.96 million), Turkey ($239.3 million) and the US ($207.58 million).
