Azerbaijan produced 52,300 tons of polyethylene in January-June 2016, which is 8.1 percent more than in the same period of 2015, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee said in its report as of January-June 2016.
According to the report, the country produced 27,900 tons of propylene in January-June 2016, or 1.7 percent more than in the same period of 2015.
Some 31,800 tons of barium sulfate were produced in Azerbaijan during the reporting period, which is 11.8 percent more than in the same period of 2015, the report said.
Around 6,200 tons of isopropyl alcohol were produced in the country in January-June, which is 37.3 percent more than in the same period of 2015, the report said.
However, Azerbaijan saw an increase in the production of other major types of chemical products in January-June 2016.
