Amount of loans provided by the Bank Keshavarzi Iran, in order to support fishing sector, increased by 29 percent, during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through December 21, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing the bank’s website.
According to the report, Bank Keshavarzi Iran has issued loans worth more than 6 trillion rials (about $143 million) within the mentioned period.
These loans were issued for the establishment and development of 1,725 fishing farms.
The Bank Keshavarzi Iran supports new methods of fish farming in order to ensure food security in the country, increase production and properly manage water resources.
