BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 5. The EU Agency for Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) has begun public consultation on the draft legislative documents of the newly established European Network of Network Operators for Hydrogen (ENNOH), Trend reports via ACER.

According to ACER's website, by September 2024, European companies submitted draft statutory documents to the European Commission and ACER to formally establish the ENNOH.

The website indicates the public consultation will be September 23–October 21 this year.

According to the website, ACER will give the European Commission its conclusion after these processes and the document study until December 30, 2024.

In December 2021, the commission put forward the Hydrogen and Decarbonized Gas package that affects the rules of the European natural gas transport market. Thus, this package provided for the creation of ENNOH as an independent body to promote cooperation between hydrogen transmission network operators in the EU.

Meanwhile, the EU puts forward a condition for gas transmission network operators to include hydrogen or low-carbon gases in the gas network as part of the 'green' RePowerEU Strategy.

In particular, the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP, the European part of the Southern Gas Corridor) is conducting research on what percentage of hydrogen can and will be contained in the fuel transported through the gas pipeline.
