BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 13. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) and Visa discussed the expansion of cashless payments in public transportation this week, Trend reports.

Moreover, issues such as the expansion of cashless payments in public transportation, the introduction of the concepts of "smart city" and "smart village," as well as the prevention of fraud with digital payments, were discussed.

Furthermore, it was announced that Azercosmos OJSC is launching a strategic partnership with DynaSys Networks, a technology company with an Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem.

Within the framework of this partnership, Azercosmos will have the opportunity to integrate its satellite communications infrastructure and the infrastructure of its customers with the complex IoT platform of DynaSys.

Following the cooperation, both parties will be able to initiate joint projects to develop and implement specialized IoT solutions for smart cities, agriculture, maritime fleet management, environmental sustainability, and business processes.

This week, it also became known that Azerbaijani postal services champion Azerpost Ltd. launched Apple Pay.

To note, 14 Azerbaijani banks are currently connected to Apple Pay and have passed the relevant certification, while 15 banks are connected to Google Pay.
