ASTANA, Kazakhstan, November 21. Kazakhstan wholeheartedly welcomes the common desire of Armenia and Azerbaijan to conclude peace, the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, told media following talks with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Trend reports.
He also expressed support for US President Donald Trump's efforts to resolve the situation in Ukraine and the plan he presented.
Tokayev noted that in the course of negotiations with Pashinyan, an exchange of views took place on the current regional and international agenda, and similarities in positions on many issues were noted.
On August 8, President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed a joint declaration in Washington with the participation of the US President. On the same day, the Foreign Ministers of the two countries initialed an agreement on the establishment of peace and interstate relations.
