BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, January 25. A total of 2,024 transactions were conducted on the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange (KSE) in 2023, for 29.085 billion soms ($325.645 million), Trend reports.
According to the KSE, out of these, 1,953 transactions in the corporate securities market amounted to 27.5 billion soms ($307.898 million), involving shares valued at 26.9 billion soms ($301.181 million) and bonds totaling 590.09 million soms ($6.606 million).
In the government securities market, 60 transactions were conducted, reaching a total of 1.3 billion soms ($14.555 million).
Deals in the commodity sector amounted to 210,000 soms ($2,351), while in the precious metals sector, transactions totaled 220,000 soms ($2,463).
The trading volume on the exchange increased by 11.046 billion soms ($123.674 million), or 61.9 percent, in 2023 compared to 2022. The total trading volume on the stock market reached 28.88 billion soms ($323.349 million) in 2023, compared to 17.83 billion soms ($199.630 million) in 2022.
