TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, December 12. Uzbekistan exported 3,407 tons of pomegranate worth $4 million from January through October this year, Trend reports.
According to information, the largest volume of pomegranate exports for the mentioned period was to Russia - 2,192 tons.
A total of 448 tons of pomegranates were exported to Kazakhstan, 279 tons - Tajikistan, 266 tons - Kyrgyzstan, and 222 tons - other countries.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan exported 1.6 million tons of fruits and vegetables worth $1.2 billion from January through October 2024. This figure increased by 14.2 percent compared to the same period last year (1.4 million tons in the period from January through October 2023).
The export of fruit and vegetable products accounted for 5.5 percent of Uzbekistan's total exports.
