Non-oil exports of Iran's Semnan Province increase

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 8. The export of non-oil products from Semnan Province, located in northern Iran, has increased by 62 percent in value and 60 percent in weight during the first three months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through June 2024) compared to the same period last year (from March 21 through June 21, 2023), the director general of Iran's Semnan Province Customs Administration Mourtaza Hajiannejad said, Trend reports.

According to him, Seemnan Province exported 99,000 tons of non-oil items valued at $43 million during the course of the three months.

Hajiannejad noted that mainly lead ingots, rubber products, sodium carbonate, wire, aluminum, detergents, and more were exported from the province during the three months.

The official stated that the products were exported to 31 countries, including Iraq, Afghanistan, Türkiye, Russia, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, the UAE, Azerbaijan and Kuwait.

To note, according to the statistics of Iran's Customs Administration, Iran exported 38 million tons of non-oil products worth $13.5 billion in the first 3 months of the current Iranian year. Iran's exports of non-oil products decreased by 7.6 percent in value and 5.6 percent in weight compared to the same month of last year.
