BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 23. The sales of Iran's Arya Sasol Polymer Company increased by 36.6 percent in value and 0.6 percent in weight during the six months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through September 21, 2024) compared to the same period of last year (from March 21 through September 22, 2023), the statement of Iran's Arya Sasol Polymer Company said, Trend reports.
Arya Sasol polymer company sold 617,000 tons of products worth
225 trillion rials (about $506 million) during the six months.
The company's sales for the same period last year totaled 613,000
tons worth 165 trillion rials (about $370 million).
The net profit of the company for the six months amounted to 63.6 trillion rials (about $143 million). This is 11 percent more than in the same period last year.
Arya Sasol Polymer Company was founded in 2001. The company has the capacity to churn out roughly 2 million tons of ethylene, polyethylene, and a variety of other petrochemical products each year.
To note, Iran produces 13 million tons of polymer materials per year.
