BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 29. As many as 158 trillion rials (around $291 million) were invested in the establishment of industrial enterprises in Iran’s Markazi Province, located in the central part of the country, during the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2024, through March 20, 2025), Ali Jodaki, the acting head of the province's Industry, Mining and Trade Department, told reporters, Trend reports.
He said that in the reporting period, 377 industrial enterprises were established in the province. In terms of numbers, 113 enterprises were established in the Arak County, while the highest investment—80.2 trillion rials (about $147 million)—was made in the Saveh County.
Jodaki articulated that the establishment of these enterprises
in Markazi Province has catalyzed the employment of 15,700
individuals.
It is noteworthy that there are presently more than 2,800
industrial entities functioning within Markazi Province,
positioning it as the second leading region nationally in the realm
of industrial advancement.
