ASTANA, Kazakhstan, January 24. Kazpost, in partnership with Turkish company S-Sistem, plans to build a 15,000 m² multimodal warehouse at Aktobe Airport, said Asel Zhanasova, Chairman of the Board of JSC "Kazpost," during a meeting with the President of Kazakhstan, Trend reports.

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Asel Zhanasova, Chairman of the Board of JSC "Kazpost." The president was briefed on the company's performance for 2024, its financial standing, and future development plans.

As Zhanasova reported, over the past two years, Kazpost has achieved net profit and contributed 45 billion tenge in taxes and duties to the national budget.

Tokayev was informed that Kazpost has entered the top 50 global postal operators according to the World Postal Union rankings for the first time. Thanks to the optimization of logistics processes, the volume of postal shipments has increased by 26 percent, including 20 million processed parcels, 9 million of which are international.

The president was also updated that, as part of the HomePost project, 180 order pickup points have been opened in neighborhood stores, with plans to reach 1,000 locations by 2025. Additionally, in collaboration with YTO Express, $50 million in investments have been attracted for postal infrastructure modernization.

Zhanasova also discussed with the President the implementation of innovations to improve service quality. Joint projects with Japan Post, Toshiba, and Cainiao are underway in logistics and transit. Furthermore, the development of the Keruen service, which facilitates access to international marketplaces, continues.

Following the meeting, Tokayev instructed the company to continue efforts to improve its financial health, expand its transit and logistics potential in the e-commerce sector within the CIS countries, and implement digital solutions.

JSC "Kazpost" is a Kazakhstan-based company and operator of the national postal network. Its headquarters is located in Astana. It is a member of the Universal Postal Union and a principal participant in international payment systems VISA International and MasterCard Worldwide.
